Outstanding Sofia Costoulas takes her first Grade 5 crown

Our 13-year-old talent Sofia Costoulas (Tennis Europe Girls All-47) has created a stunt at the SBW-NET ITF Junior Open 2018 in Kreuzlingen (Switzerland, Grade 5). In her first ITF tournament ever she took the title without losing a set coming out of the qualifications.

In the quarterfinals she defeated fifth seed Kiara Cvetkovic (ITF-1 120) 6-4 6-2, in the semis she topped eighth seed Mia Mack (ITF-1 294) 6-1 7-5. The 15 year old and first seed Alina Granwehr (ITF-604) turned out to be no obstacle in the final. Costoulas won the match easily in two sets: 6-2 7-6 (5).

Costoulas did a great job in Kreuzlingen, where she, next to winning her first Grade 5 title, also took her first ITF points.
